This is a no holds barred fight between blenders and juicers. So get ready for the blood oranges and the smoothie moves! Juicer advocates will tell you that blenders are veggies-nutrient-destroyers and Blender advocates will tell you that juicers take at least 2 years to clean up. So here we go.
In the red corner: Blenders
Many companies give their blenders different names for their own reasons, so just to make things clear, here are products that are considered blenders:
- The Vitamix, you gotta watch it’s tricks.
- The Ninja Blender, the true black belt.
- The NutriBullet, with its motor on steroids.
- The Blendtec, will it bleed? I mean blend.
- The Hamilton Beach Blender, serving you a single serve punch.
There is no disputing the fact that these are blenders. If you’ve lead to believe otherwise, then you’ve fallen for marketing deception. When reading marketing copy from companies such as Magic Bullet (creators of the NutriBullet), be careful. Here read between the lines: “Unlike everyday juicers and blenders…” Realize they are NOT saying the NutriBullet is not a blender, they say unlike everyday blenders… I know some people believe that the NutriBullet is some amazing innovation far beyond a blender, but it is simply a blender with a strong motor.
What Blenders have to say about Juicers
Juicers are extremely hard to clean with so many parts. A juicer also can’t handle fruits because it takes out all the fiber and can make you sick. Take that, juicers.
Also, you juicers are so slow. You probably got held back in Second Grade. You also need to pre-cut veggies before juicing them? C’mon you can’t handle produce all by yourself? Give me a break. Even your “Champion” masticating juicer only spins at 1,250 RPM? That’s a joke, my VitaMix spins at 37,000 RPMs! It’ll take on at least 30 of your whip champions.
In the Green corner: Juicers
Juicers are called juicers or juice extractors. By definition they separate the juice from the pulp of produce. Here are the top dogs:
- The Breville Compact, “The bigger they are the harder they fall.”
- The Green Star Elite, Veggie Top Contender.
- The Hurom Slow Juicer, The European Sensation.
- The Champion “HeavyWeight” built like a tank, built in the USA.
- The Omega Nutrition Center, The Final Countdown.
Whether spinning at 13,000 RPM (The Breville) or 80 RPM (The Hurom) all of these juicers are like brothers. They hate pulp and will eject it, kick it to the curb and extinguish it from your juice. The criticize each other about nutrition but will band together against the common enemy: the blender.
What Juicers have to say about Blenders
Don’t get your blades up in a twist, what are you in such a rush for? We’re here for our drinkers, not to show off. Slow down and you’ll keep much more nutrition in your juice. Hello!? Ever heard of the Tortoise and the Hare? Slow and Steady wins the juice.
I know you’re so simple and one-track minded and can be cleaned in two seconds, but I think you should be put in the recycling bin in two seconds… Brain beats Brawn. It’s not that simple to get all the nutrients from veggies without some technology brother. You’re just a joke if you try blending wheat grass.
And the winner is…
This match is going into overtime…it’s a tie! We can never all agree that blenders are better or juicers are better. So, until we can all agree, it’s a tie. Some people much prefer blenders to juicers; some people prefer juicers to blenders and many people love them both.
Whatever your method is to get more fruits and veggies in your system I highly recommend it. Just don’t juice only fruits because it can be bad for your health and can have even more sugar than Coca-cola if you don’t watch it.
